Oasis Rhythms

Biblical Counseling

Oasis Rhythms provides Biblical counseling through one-on-one prayer ministry. By using Biblical principles, the client, prayer minster and Holy Spirit seek to find heart healing.

Childhood wounds can lead to sinful responses that manifest through judgments, foundational lies, and inner vows. Unknowingly, we can carry these around all of our lives. Our wounds result in unhealthy fruit, such as, depression, anxiety, aggression, isolation, among many others. To find inner healing, the root needs to be discovered, repented of, and brought to the cross. Inner healing comes as the Lord shines his light and truth on those places in our hearts that have remained in the dark.

About Me

Counseling is in my blood. It has been a part of who I am, even before I realized it. I believe that God led me to where I am today and has created me to be a Biblical Counselor.

Personally, counseling has been advantageous. It is where I’ve experienced great breakthroughs in places I’ve felt stuck or experienced extreme, emotional pain. This inner healing has been a natural conduit to draw me closer to God as I gained a greater understanding of his heart towards me. My personal journey has been the motivation to walk alongside others as a Biblical Counselor

I often see myself as one who gets down in the mud with people in an effort to help them dig their way out. My passion is to create a safe space for vulnerability, inviting the Holy Spirit to move.  I witness such beauty when I go alongside someone in their journey to find lasting, heart healing.

Experience

The counseling world is where I thrive. For ten years I worked in two different therapeutic environments. The first nine years, I was immersed in a therapeutic program called Northwest College Support, as well as an outpatient counseling practice called Cultivation Counseling. The last year I was on staff at the Union Gospel Mission, a women’s Life Recovery program.

"My heart is to get into the dark depths with someone and help them find the light out."

For Fun

Quality time is of high value to me. My favorite way to spend my free time is by adventuring with my husband or simply drinking coffee with him at home. I can't leave out my bonus kiddos who have made my life much sweeter! In addition, I value time with family and friends, boating in the Summer, and traveling. For many years I traveled to various countries doing missions trips. So far, my country count is up to twenty-six, and I’m not finished!

Education

In 2008, I moved to Dallas, Texas to attend Bible school at Christ For the Nations. There, my focus was in Global Missions, and in 2011 I received a Bachelors in Advanced Practical Theology. Years later, I pursued another Bachelors in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University where I graduated in 2022. Most recently, I have focused on a Prayer Minister and  Biblical Counselor education. I attended the School of Heart Healing at the Elijah House, receiving two certificates.
